ZOFS Engineering P.C. is contributing to the NYCDOT and the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) project to transform the major Jamaica Station Plaza in Jamaica, Queens. This intermodal hub, located along Archer Avenue between 144th Place and 147th Place, aims to enhance pedestrian safety, alleviate traffic congestion, and improve the experience for over 18,000 daily transit users at the bustling intersection of Archer and Sutphin Boulevard. The transit hub is a critical junction served by 13 bus lines, 2 subway lines, the Long Island Railroad (LIRR), and the AirTrain service from John F. Kennedy International Airport. Despite previous incremental improvements, the intersection has remained problematic.
