Construction Engineering and Inspection
ZOFS. provided CE&I Services for this highway and bridge construction project as part of a pavement preservation program. This initiative aimed to enhance the existing wearing surface and extend the pavement’s life by applying an ultrathin bonded overlay and upgrading joint repairs along I-95 and Route 15. In addition, ITS and traffic signal detection systems were replaced, upgraded, and installed at multiple locations. The scope of work included crack sealing, joint repairs, Limited Access Highway and Bridge Construction, MPT, and the application of ultra-thin bonded overlays on I-95 southbound and various locations along Route 15. These efforts focused on enhancing the road surface’s durability, extending pavement service life, and improving driving conditions.
The project commenced with a comprehensive preconstruction survey to identify existing conditions, including the impact of underground utilities. Detailed plans were developed for traffic management and limited-access highway construction.
