PROJECT SERVICES

Resident Engineering Inspection (REI)

This $10 million capital infrastructure project was a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing stormwater management within the catchment area through the strategic incorporation of bioswales. The project’s primary goal was to leverage natural systems to improve the urban landscape, primarily by introducing vegetation and reducing impervious surfaces, thereby mitigating stormwater runoff into the combined sewer system. The project team oversaw various critical aspects, including the excavation and installation of bioswales, rain gardens, curbs, sidewalks, and tree planting. The implementation of pavement markings and all maintenance and protection of traffic protocols ensures the seamless integration of these green infrastructure elements. This thorough oversight guaranteed the effectiveness of the stormwater management strategy, reducing runoff volume and improving water quality. The bioswales and rain gardens served as natural filtration systems, removing pollutants from stormwater before they entered the sewer system.
