PROJECT SERVICES
Construction Engineering and Inspection
This project represents a significant investment in NYC infrastructure, focusing on enhancing pedestrian accessibility and safety across various boroughs. This capital reconstruction initiative involved the comprehensive overhaul of sidewalks, and curbs, and the installation of ADA-compliant pedestrian ramps, affecting numerous local communities, spanning the city. ZOFS’s REI team was crucial in maintaining rigorous standards throughout the project’s duration by producing detailed daily reports. These reports were essential for keeping resident engineers and relevant personnel well-informed about the contractors’ compliance with the specified requirements. Additionally, our Community Construction Liaison played a vital role in mitigating the impact on local businesses and residents, addressing concerns promptly and effectively. This proactive communication helped maintain a positive relationship between the project team and the community, which was instrumental in completing several task orders ahead of schedule due to minimal delays caused by local stakeholders. The project included installing robust infrastructure elements such as steel-faced concrete curbs, sidewalk pedestrian ramps, steel-faced drop curb driveways, and concrete curbs and sidewalks.
