Inspection (REI)

ZOFS Engineering delivered REI Services for an $85 million capital infrastructure project in the Willets Point area of Queens. The project’s principal objective was to construct Storm Sewers in the neighborhood and relieve the surcharge from the existing combined sewers. The undertaking included the installation of 9,800 LF of Sanitary Sewers, 15,000 LF of RCP and ESVP storm sewers, type I and II catch basins, concrete sewer manholes, and the construction of five new chambers. Furthermore, the project expanded to incorporate the installation of 33,000 LF of 8/12/20 inch distribution water mains equipped with fire hydrants and necessitated the relocation of various underground utilities (Joint Bid Items with private utility companies), including a gas main.
